1. Exercise
It is highly recommended for you to exercise, even if it's just to take a walk. 20mins per day is enough. You can be healthy, and you can maintain your fitness as well. What does it have to do with good sleep? Well, if you do some exercises, you will get tired at night right? So when you get tired, you'll go to bed early. Simple!
2. No more caffeine after 7pm
Yeap. Caffeine that is found in coffee, carbonated drinks semua, can cause you to be less sleepy, and you'll just stay awake, even though there is nothing to do. So, students sepatutnya tak boleh minum Nescafe yang beli kat Roswell or kat NZ tu bila malam malam. Sebab nanti tak ngantuk, pastu tidur lambat, konon nak stay up and study, but esokkannya? Macam restless, kan? Berat mata semua, pastu tak boleh focus. Tapi seeloknya, bila dah ngantuk malam tu, tidur je sebab otak dah tak function sangat pukul 12am-3am tu. Apa kata tidur je, pastu bangun balik? :D
3. Avoid any kind of works that requires thinking an hour before bedtime
Macam ni. You plan to go to sleep at 11pm. But you're still solving maths problem at 10pm. Well, it is not that good actually because when you do something that requires thinking, you'll be active hence tak ngantuk, so tak tidur. Try baca buku Sejarah one hour before tidur, mesti dah tidur dah within 15 minutes je :P
4. Adjust your bedroom temperature to be slightly chilly
Selalu kan dengar, 'Oh hujan, ni tidur best ni.' Sebab apa best? Sebab sejuk. So bila sejuk, senang je nak tidur, rasa macam cool je, nyaman je rasa. Cover yourself with nice, comfy quilt, than off to La La La Land (:
5. Keep your bedroom dark
Ni note-to-self ni. Hoish. Studies show that even the tiny light from our digital alarm clock, or light from our phone yang 'teng' bila ada message tu can disrupt our sleep cycle. So, just tutup semua lampu. Tutup pintu, and biar ada light from luar je. Tapi siapa yang takut gelap tu (ehem, ME) takpelah. As long as you're comfortable with your surrounding, it should be fine kan. Kalau macam paranoid takut ada Batman berdiri tepi katil, huh, pasang jelah lampu tu eee Batman eee.
6. Keep your bedroom tidy
Especially, your bed. Sometimes, you might just throw away your things onto your bed and when the time for you to sleep has arrived, you'll be throwing the things away, again, to get to sleep. No. Tak boleh. Jangan. Katil tu biar kemas. Letak lah berapa banyak soft toys or bantal or bantal busuk, janji comfortable for you. Then you'll be able to get good sleep.
If ways mentioned above still cant help you, try these:
1. Breathe deeply and slowly
Yeap, do it for many times until you can't stand it. Then you'll get tired, restless and accidentally sleep :D Try lah!
2. Slather yourself with body lotion
You'll feel good after doing this. You'll feel more relax and when you're hot, lotion actually can cool you down. So you'll be more um, comfortable to get to bed.
3. If you're too cold, wear socks
Socks can keep you from cramp HAHA, and shivers. You'll feel cozy after your feet get warmed.
4. Stretch your whole body
Well, I have no point about this, try jelah :P
5. Have a warm drink
MILK! Yeap! MILK can help, serious. Have a warm milk, nice one, then minum, letak cawan tepi katil, tepuk bantal sikit and baring. In few minutes, you'll sleep hee. Susu yang yummy tau, jangan ah yang tawar, eee -____-" Pastu JANGANLAH susu yang Coffee Mate tu. Tu Adik selalu buat pastu terus jadi energetic tak pasal-pasal :P
